The Pembroke Community Choir is a non-auditioned group of about 80 people of all ages and musical ability.  We combine vocal work and fun to achieve the best possible musical entertainment for the community.

Our performances are accompanied by professional musicians, and frequently make use of both professional and Choir member soloists.   If you love to sing, you’re welcome to join us!

You can come to a rehearsal or two without any obligation, to see if it works for you.  We rehearse at Wesley Community Church, 210 Renfrew Street in Pembroke, on Monday nights, 7 to 9, from September to April, and perform 2 concerts each year, and at various community events.

Our recent performances…

The December 2016 concert featured Christmas Choruses from Handel’s Messiah, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Bach’s Magnificat, as well as Vaughn Williams’ Fantasia on Christmas Carols with guest soloist (and former director for 25 years) Kevin Nieman.  We also entered a float in the Parade of Lights for the first time. The parade theme was a Charlie Brown Christmas; we sang excerpts from the movie and won the Mayor’s Award!

We saluted the Academy Awards in the Spring of 2016 with “Oscar through the years!” which featured award-winning songs from 1933 to 2013 and a Disney extravaganza. Residents at Marianhill and Miramichi got a sneak preview.
